We know that , though we are using the sun like any other thing of our daily use , it cannot be directly used like those. By sitting in the sky, very remote to us, the sun reaches us in the form of light ,heat and rays. By this activity only, it controls all activities on earth . It becomes the cause of birth , growth , existence , change and death of everything in the world . In reality, without the charity of the sun, existence of nothing like plants, animals etc. is possible on this earth . But the sun expects nothing from us in lieu of that . On the other hand , the small people like us ,with our very small capacity , whatever help we extend in charity to other people or society is very negligible both in quality and quantity. But we expect return in the form of service , respect , gratitude, recognition etc. etc. If no return is received , our piece of mind is disturbed. We never keep in mind that, a small entity like us can do very small things only in charity as compared to the sun .In each and every step of life , we cannot survive without taking help from the sun , but we never think of that for a moment also. But the sun is extending all his great favors without paying any attention to our behavior towards it . This type of thoughts expand the capacity of our mind and encourage us to do something for the benefit of others without expecting anything in return . As our capacity is very small , we will be able to do very small things only, in the beginning . But this will encourage us to go ahead with higher thought for further expansion . Expansion of thought level , towards higher and higher goals to reach the ultimate goal, is the aim of all religious practices . Guru Harideva suggested that this type of practice, considering the sun as the object of thought, will definitely help us in proceeding towards that goal .  

আমাৰ নিত্য ব্যৱহাৰ্য বস্তুসমুহৰ দৰে  সূৰ্যক সাক্ষাৎভাৱে  ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব নোৱাৰি বুলি আমি জানো । সূৰ্য আকাশৰ নিজৰ স্থানত , আমাৰ পৰা অনেক আঁতৰত , অৱস্থান কৰি আছে ।নিজৰ স্থানত থাকিয়ে পোহৰ ,তাপ আৰু কিৰণ আদিৰ দ্বাৰা এই জগতৰ  সমস্ত কৰ্মকাণ্ড নিয়ন্ত্ৰণ কৰি আছে ।সূৰ্যৰ নিয়ন্ত্ৰণতে জগতৰ সমস্তৰে উৎপত্তি হৈছে, উৎপন্ন বস্তু ডাঙৰ দীঘল হৈছে ।সমস্তই নিজৰ নিজৰ আকাৰ আৰু স্থান অনুসৰি অৱস্থান কৰি আছে । বৃদ্ধিৰ পৰিমাণ সম্পূৰ্ণ হোৱাৰ পিচত লাহে লাহে ক্ষয়প্ৰাপ্ত হৈ শেষ পৰিণতিৰ পিনে আগ বাঢ়ি আছে আৰু শেষত  মৰণৰ মুখত পৰি ধ্বংস হৈছে । প্ৰকৃতাৰ্থত সূৰ্যৰ অৱদান অবিহনে পৃথিৱীত কোনো প্ৰাণী, উদ্ভিদ ইত্যাদি বৰ্ত্তি থকা সম্ভৱ নহয় । কিন্তু আমাৰ জীৱনত সূৰ্যৰ পৰা পোৱা এনে মহান অৱদানৰ বিনিময়ত সূৰ্যই আমাৰ পৰা একো প্ৰতিদানৰ প্ৰত্যাশা নকৰে । আনহাতে আমাৰ দৰে সামান্য মানুহে ,নিজৰ সামান্য শক্তিৰ দ্বাৰা , অন্য লোকক বা সমাজক কৰা সামান্য উপকাৰৰ বিনিময়ত প্ৰত্যুপকাৰ , কৃতজ্ঞতা ,স্বীকৃতি ইত্যাদি বিচাৰি হাবাথুৰি খাওঁ । সেইবোৰ বিচৰা ধৰণে নাপালে আমাৰ মনত ক্ষোভ উৎপন্ন হয় । আমি এবাৰো ভাবি নাচাওঁ যে আমাৰ দৰে ক্ষুদ্ৰ মানৱে , মানৱ সমাজ তথা পৃথিৱীৰ কল্যাণৰ অৰ্থে আগবঢ়াব পৰা অৱদান সূৰ্যৰ অৱদানৰ তুলনাত কিমান নগণ্য হ’ব পাৰে । জীৱনৰ প্ৰতিটো খোজতে আমি সূৰ্যৰ অৱদানৰ দ্বাৰাই জগতত বৰ্ত্তি আছো , কিন্তু সেই কথা কেতিয়াও মনত নেপলাওঁ। সূৰ্যই আমি কি ভাবিছো বা কি দিছো তাৰ প্ৰতি কোনো ভ্ৰূক্ষেপ নকৰাকৈ নিজৰ কৰ্ম কৰি আছে । এনে প্ৰকাৰৰ চিন্তাধাৰাই আমাৰ মনৰ পৰিসৰ বৃদ্ধি কৰে – নিজৰ সামন্য শক্তিৰে যিমানখিনি সম্ভৱ নিস্বাৰ্থ ভাৱে কাম কৰাৰ প্ৰেৰণা যোগায় । প্ৰথম অৱস্থাত সামান্য শক্তিৰে কৰা আমাৰ  কৰ্মৰ ফল অতি নগণ্য ৰূপত প্ৰকাশিত হ্’ব পাৰে , কিন্তু ইয়ে আমাৰ ভাৱনাৰ পৰিসৰ ক্ৰমন্বয়ে বৃহত্তৰ কৰি আনে ।ভাৱনাৰ পৰিসৰ বৃদ্ধি কৰি নিজৰ চেতনাৰ স্তৰ ক্ৰমান্বয়ে উন্নত কৰা আৰু আৰু শেষত পৰম চেতনাৰ লগত একাকাৰ কৰাৰ চেষ্টাই হৈছে সকলো প্ৰকাৰৰ ধৰ্ম সাধনাৰ মূল লক্ষ । সূৰ্যক অৱলম্বন হিচাপে লৈ কৰা ওপৰোক্ত প্ৰকাৰৰ ভাৱনাই এই লক্ষ পূৰণৰ দিশত লৈ যাব পাৰে বুলি মহাপুৰুষ শ্ৰীশ্ৰী হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই আমাক উপদেশ দিছে ।
