In the preceding post we described how Guru Harideva and his party crossed the sea and reached Puri by the grace of God. The head priest of the Jagannatha temple heard from them everything that happened on the way. Since ancient times, it is being believed by the people that Lord Jagannatha is the ocean of mercy. But nobody can come to his place and see him without his invitation. It is also believed that the people whom he calls to his place get all kinds of help to face the adverse situations that appeared on the path of reaching him. Now, the head priest of the Jagannatha temple  had to meet thousands of people daily as his routine duty.  Most of those people used to tell him their own experiences. In this way, the priest was accustomed with hearing of the stories of the blessings bestowed by Lord Jagannatha upon different people in different ways. But after hearing the story of Guru Haideva and his party, feeling came to his mind that lord Jagannatha himself accompanied Guru Harideva and his party in the disguise of an old ascetic and came to his house for telling him to take care of them. So he became more careful in making arrangements for accommodating those special invitees of Lord Jagannatha. Next morning, Guru Harideva along with Subhadra and Dwija Gobinda entered into the temple of Lord Jagannatha. After coming near to the deity of Lord Jagannatha an incident unimaginable to Guru Harideva happened there. His 6-7 year old sister Subhadra started praying in front of the deity of Lord Jagannatha with very deep concentration of mind. This type of concentration was not a sign of normal behavior for a child of her age. Guru Harideva, Dwija Gobinda and some of the priests tried their best to bring her to normalcy from the state of deep concentration.  But all efforts failed and after reasonable time the people present there declared that she was no more alive. Realising the fact, Guru Harideva started crying. All people present there consoled him in various ways. Then with the help of some priest and local people Guru Harideva performed her last rites with a broken heart. He waited there till the completion of the period of the personal impurity occurred to him due to his sister’s death. After completion of that period, he again entered into the temple and worshiped the deity of Lord Jagannatha with his own special way of worship as described in our earlier posts. Then he visited all other temples at Puri and at nearby places. There also he offered worship and prayer in the same manner and then left Puri. (to be continued )

হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনা আৰু তেওঁৰ সঙ্গীসকলে ভগৱানৰ অনুগ্ৰহত কিদৰে সমুদ্ৰ পাৰ হৈ পুৰীত উপস্থিত হৈছিল তাক আগৰ লিখনিটোত কৈ অহা হৈছে। জগন্নাথ মন্দিৰৰ প্ৰধান পুৰোহিতজনে তেওঁলোকৰ মুখৰ পৰা পথত সংঘটিত হোৱা সকলো ঘটনাৰ বিৱৰণ শুনিছিল। ভগৱান জগন্নাথ দয়াৰ সাগৰ বুলি অতি পুৰণি কালৰে পৰা মানুহে বিশ্বাস কৰি আহিছে। তেওঁ নিজে মাতি নানিলে কোনেও নিজৰ ইচ্ছামতে আহি তেওঁক দৰ্শন কৰা সম্ভৱ নহয় বুলিও মানুহে বিশ্বাস কৰে। যিসকলক লোকক প্ৰভু জগন্নাথে মাতি আনে তেওঁলোকক পথত সন্মুখীন হোৱা সকলো বিপদ আপদৰ পৰা উদ্ধাৰ কৰি নিৰাপদে তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ লৈ আহে বুলিও মানুহে বিশ্বাস কৰে। আকৌ মন্দিৰলৈ অহা হেজাৰ হেজাৰ তীৰ্থযাত্ৰ্ৰীৰ সৈতে মত বিনিময় কৰাটো মন্দিৰৰ প্ৰধান পুৰোহিতৰ কৰ্ত্তব্যৰ ভিতৰত পৰে। বেছিভাগ যাত্ৰীয়ে নিজে  ভগৱান জগন্নাথৰ পৰা লাভ কৰা অনুগ্ৰহৰ কথা অতি শ্ৰদ্ধা সহকাৰে বৰ্ণনা কৰে। সেই হিচাপে হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই লগ পোৱা প্ৰধান পুৰোহিত জনে বিভিন্ন স্থানৰ পৰা অহা বিভিন্ন ধৰণৰ তীৰ্থযাত্ৰ্ৰীৰ মুখৰ পৰা প্ৰভু জগন্নাথৰ অনেক প্ৰকাৰৰ দয়া-মাহাত্ম্য আদিৰ বিৱৰণ নিতৌ শুনিব লগীয়া হৈছিল। কিন্তু হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনা আৰু তেওঁৰ সঙ্গীসকলৰ কাহিনী শুনাৰ পিছত তেওঁ ভগৱান জগন্নাথ নিজে বৃদ্ধ সন্ন্যাসীৰ বেশত গুৰুজনাৰ লগত তেওঁৰ  গৃহলৈ আহি এই বিশেষ যাত্ৰী কেইজনক চোৱা চিতা কৰাৰ দয়িত্ব তেওঁক দি যোৱা যেন অনুভৱ কৰিছিল। সেয়েহে তেওঁ হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনা, সুভদ্ৰা আৰু গোবিন্দক জগন্নাথ মহাপ্ৰভুৰ বিশিষ্ট অতিথিৰূপে গণ্য কৰি একো কষ্ট নোপোৱাকৈ ৰখাৰ ব্যৱস্থা কৰিছিল। পিছ্দিনা পুৱা গোবিন্দ আৰু সুভদ্ৰাক লগত লৈ গুৰুজনাই জগন্নাথ মন্দিৰত প্ৰৱেশ কৰিছিল ।তাতে জগন্নাথ বিগ্ৰহৰ ওচৰ পোৱাৰ লগে লগে গুৰুজনা এক অকল্পনীয় পৰিস্থিতিৰ সন্মুখীন হৈছিল। গুৰুজনাৰ ৬-৭ বছৰীয়া ভগ্নী সুভদ্ৰাই বিগ্ৰহৰ ওচৰ পোৱাৰ লগে লগে বাহ্যজ্ঞান শূন্য হৈ প্ৰভু জগন্নাথক স্তুতি কৰা আৰম্ভ কৰিছিল। ইমান কম বয়সৰ এটি সাধাৰণ শিশুৱে এনে আচৰণ কৰাটো অস্বাভাৱিক কথা বুলি তাত উপস্থিত থকা লোকে বুজি পাইছিল। হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাৰ লগতে গোবিন্দ আৰু দুই এজন পুৰোহিতে সুভদ্ৰাক স্বাভাৱিক অৱস্থালৈ অনাৰ বাবে চেষ্টা কৰিও বিফল হৈছিল। এনেদৰে কিছু সময় থকাৰ পিছত উপস্থিত সকলোৱে নিশ্চিত ভাৱে বুজি পাইছিল যে সুভদ্ৰাৰ প্ৰাণ বায়ু উৰি গৈছে। ঘটনা ভালদৰে বুজি উঠাৰ পিছত হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই শোকত ভাগি পৰিছিল আৰু উপস্থিত সকলো লোকে তেওঁ বিভিন্ন ধৰণে বুজনি দি শান্ত কৰিছিল। মন্দিৰৰ পুৰোহিত আৰু স্থানীয় লোকৰ সহযোগত শোকাৰ্ত্ত হৃদয়েৰে গুৰুজনাই সুভদ্ৰাৰ শেষকৃত্য সম্পন্ন কৰিছিল। ভনীয়েকৰ মৃত্যুজনিত অশৌচকাল শেষ নোহোৱা পৰ্যন্ত অপেক্ষা কৰাৰ পিছত তেওঁ পুনৰ জগন্নাথ বিগ্ৰহ দৰ্শন কৰি আমি আগৰ লিখনিত উল্লেখ কৰি অহামতে তেওঁৰ নিজস্ব নীতি আদৰ্শ অনুসৰি পূজা-উপসনা কৰিছিল। ইয়াৰ পিছত তেওঁ পুৰী আৰু ইয়াৰ ওচৰে পাঁজৰে থকা সকলো মঠ মন্দিৰ দৰ্শন কৰিছিল আৰু তেওঁৰ নিজস্ব বিচাৰধাৰা অনুসৰি সকলো মন্দিৰত থকা সকলো বিগ্ৰহৰে পূজা উপাসনা সমাপ্ত কৰাৰ পিছত পুৰীৰ পৰা বিদায় লৈছিল। (আগলৈ)
