Understanding Guru Harideva’s Approach Towards Unity-118 (একতাৰ অনুসন্ধান সম্পৰ্কত হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাৰ দৃষ্টিভঙ্গী বুজাৰ প্ৰয়াস-১১৮)

In continuation of our preceding post, we can say that the heart of Guru Harideva was very pure and kind, but he had no idea of the complications of human mind. He was very much sympathetic towards the sufferings of the common people.  People used to come to him with their problems and out of sympathy he used to tell them whatever was already told in the scriptures and was considered to be useful for those people. In Bhagavata it is told that unless one’s mind is purified, he cannot clearly understand the scriptural advice and discriminate the knowledge from ignorance. In such case they discover their own meaning of the scriptural advice and do whatever they like. Such things happened with the knowledge imparted to people by Guru Haideva also. The people who used to come for listening to his advice were of three groups. One group was able to understand the proper meaning of his teachings. They gradually stopped their odd habits and started living a new life according to the scriptural guidance revealed to them. The second group did not pay any attention to his advice. They neither followed nor rejected those advice, The third group of people was egoistic. They thought that the teachings of Harideva would adversely affect their traditional customs. They rejected the ideas of Guru Harideva totally and identified  him as their enemy. They started searching proper opportunity to punish him and very soon that opportunity came to those people. At that time there were frequent clashes among different tribes. In Narayanpur area also people from nearby hills used to attack people of plain area from time to time with  motives of robbery and encroachment of land adjacent  to their territory. During that time the kings of the land did not maintain regular army to fight with such enemies. The people of a particular area were responsible to fight with enemies under the command of a local head and protect the lives and properties of the people of that area. At the time, when Guru Harideva was undergoing the situation as mentioned above, the people from nearby hill area attacked Narayanpur area. The local people of Narayanpur area were defeated and there was huge loss of lives and properties in the battle . The local head of the area reported to the king of the land that due to change in food habit of a section of people of that area as per advice of a Brahmin boy, the army under his command became physically weak and that was the cause of defeat in the battle. In this way, Guru Harideva became victim of a conspiracy of the third group of people we mentioned as above . (to be continued)

ইয়াৰ আগৰ লিখনিটোৰ আঁত ধৰি ক’ব পাৰি যে হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাৰ অন্তৰ অতি পৱিত্ৰ আছিল আৰু মানুহৰ মন কিমান  জটিল হ’ব পাৰে তাক তেওঁ জনা নাছিল । সাধাৰণ মানুহৰ দুখ দুৰ্দশাৰ বৰ্ণনা শুনি তেওঁৰ অন্তৰত সহাভূতিৰ উদয় হৈছিল। মানুহে সমস্যা সমাধান কৰাৰ উপদেশ বিচাৰি তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিছিল। সহানুভূতিৰ বশবৰ্ত্তী হৈ তেওঁ শাস্ত্ৰত যি কোৱা হৈছে তাৰ আলমত খোলাখুলিকৈ উপদেশ দি মানুহৰ উপকাৰ কৰাৰ চেষ্টা কৰিছিল । ভাগৱতত কোৱা হৈছে যে শাস্ত্ৰ উপদেশ দিয়াৰ আগতে মানুহৰ মনৰ পবিত্ৰতা সাধন কৰা প্ৰয়োজন । অন্যথা মানুহে সেই উপদেশ স্পষ্টভাৱে বুজি নাপায় । জ্ঞান অৱস্থা আৰু অজ্ঞান অৱস্থাৰ পাৰ্থক্য নিৰ্ণয় কৰিব নোৱাৰে । তাৰ ফলত মানুহে শাস্ত্ৰ উপদেশৰ নিজা নিজা অৰ্থ সৃষ্টি কৰি নিজৰ যি ইচ্ছা তাকে কৰি থাকে । হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই জনসাধাৰণক দিয়া শাস্ত্ৰ উপদেশৰ ক্ষেত্ৰতো এনে হৈছিল । তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ উপদেশ বিচাৰি অহা সমাজখনৰ মানুহখিনি তিনিটা শ্ৰেণীত বিভক্ত আছিল। ইয়াৰে প্ৰথম দলে গুৰুজনাৰ উপদেশৰ অৰ্থ ভালদৰে বুজি পাইছিল । তেওঁলোকে গুৰুজনাৰ উপদেশ মানি লৈছিল আৰু নিজৰ নিজৰ পূৰ্বৰ অভ্যাস পৰিত্যাগ কৰি নতুন ধৰণে জীৱন যাপন কৰা আৰম্ভ কৰিছিল। দ্বিতীয় দলৰ লোকসকলে গুৰুজনাৰ উপদেশৰ প্ৰতি একো গুৰুত্ব দিয়া নাছিল। তেওঁলোকে সেই উপদেশ মানিও লোৱা নাছিল আৰু বিৰোধিতাও কৰা নাছিল। আনহাতে গুৰুজনাৰ উপদেশ সমুহে তৃতীয় দলৰ লোকসকলৰ অহমিকা  ভাৱত আঘাত কৰিছিল। তেওঁলোকে গুৰুজনাই শাস্ত্ৰ জ্ঞানৰ আধাৰত দিয়া উপদেশ সমুহে যুগ যুগান্তৰৰ পৰা প্ৰচলিত হৈ অহা নিজস্ব কৃষ্টি সংস্কৃতিৰ অনিষ্ট কৰিব বুলি  আশংকা কৰিছিল আৰু গুৰুজনাক শত্ৰুজ্ঞান কৰি উপযুক্ত শাস্তি দিয়াৰ বাবে সুযোগ বিচৰা আৰম্ভ কৰিছিল। কম দিনৰ ভিতৰতে তেওঁলোকে বিচৰামতে সেই সুযোগ পাইও গৈছিল। সেই সময়ত বিভিন্ন জাতি উপজাতি সকলৰ মাজত সঘনে সংঘৰ্ষ হৈছিল । পাহাৰত বাস কৰা লোকসকলে নাৰায়ণপুৰৰ দৰে ভৈয়াম অঞ্চলৰ লোকক আক্ৰমণ কৰি লুটপাত চলাইছিল । পাহাৰৰ সৈতে সংলগ্ন মাটি দখল কৰি নিজ অঞ্চলৰ  ভিতৰুৱা কৰি লোৱাৰ চেষ্টা কৰিছিল । তেতিয়াৰ দিনত এনে আক্ৰমণ কাৰ্যক বাধা দিয়াৰ বাবে ৰজাসকলে  সৈন্য বাহিনী ৰখাৰ নিয়ম নাছিল । যি অঞ্চলত আক্ৰমণ হৈছিল তাৰ স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা সকলে কোনো সাহসী ব্যক্তিৰ নেতৃত্বত শত্ৰুৰ আক্ৰমণ প্ৰতিহত কৰাৰ দায়িত্ব লৈছিল। হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনা ওপৰত কোৱা ধৰণৰ পৰিস্থিতিত থকাৰ সময়তে পাহাৰীয়া লোক সকলে নাৰায়ণপুৰ অঞ্চলত আক্ৰমণ চলাই ইয়াৰ বাসিন্দা সকলক পৰাস্ত কৰিছিল। এই যুদ্ধত অনেক ধন জনৰ হানি হৈছিল। এই অঞ্চলৰ স্থানীয় নেতাই যুদ্ধৰ খবৰ দি ৰজাক জনাইছিল যে এজন স্থানীয় ব্ৰাহ্মণ যুৱকৰ দিহামতে খাদ্যাভ্যাস পৰিবৰ্ত্তন কৰাৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ অধীনত যুদ্ধ কৰা একাংশ সৈন্য দুৰ্বল হৈ  পৰিছিল আৰু ইয়ে যুদ্ধত পৰাজয় হোৱাৰ কাৰণ। এনেদৰে হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনা  কিছু সংখ্যক লোকৰ ষড়যন্ত্ৰৰ বলি হৈছিল। (আগলৈ)
