In some of the preceding posts we have discussed about Shravana or hearing. This is said to be the best way of acquiring knowledge pertaining to God. Another way of keeping oneself connected with God is “Kirtana”. “Kirtana” means expression of one’s knowledge, feelings, prayers etc. According to Guru Harideva  the  process of Kirtana can be broadly divided into four categories. Silent or loud utterance of any name of Lord Krishna, discussion of the topics containing descriptions of various activities of human and superhuman nature performed by Lord Krishna, Loud recitation of the contents of Bhagavata and other Vedic scripture, offering of prayers by singing devotional songs and recitation of verses of praise mentioned in the scriptures etc come under those four categories of Kirtana. Guru Harideva tells that repeated silent utterance or “Japa” of the holy name “Krishna” is the best method of “Kirtana”. In Bhagavadgita also “Japa” is said to the best among all types of sacrifices. In the world there are innumerable names and each name contains a meaning. By going through the meaning of the name we identify the object called by that name. For example, elephant is a name which means some particular animal. By going through the meaning of the name we identify an elephant. Now, the name “Krishna” means God Almighty or the supersoul or the ultimate truth. There is nothing higher than or equal to God Almighty. So no name can carry higher meaning than the meaning carried by the name “Krishna”. Considering from that angle Guru Harideva tells that among the innumerable names, the name “Krishna” is the “Bibhuti” or expression of the great opulence of God Almighty. In Bhagavadgita the “Bibhutis” or opulences of God Almighty are explained in details. In our material life also we see that power is contained in a name. If we go to some office and show recommendation of a powerful man then our work is immediately done by the concerned authority. That is, through those recommendations we use the power contained in the name of some person or jn the name of some designation.  If a man or a designation is more powerful then the concerned name also contains more power. Analyzing the things in this way it can be said that since Lord Krishna is omnipotent, his name, that is the name “Krishna” contains unlimited power. Guru Harideva tells that by “Japa” ,that is,  by repeated silent utterance  or “Kirtana” of the name “Krishna” one can get full protection from the omnipotent Lord Krishna . (to be continued)

ইয়াৰ আগৰ কেইটামান লিখনিত শ্ৰৱণৰ বিষয়ে কৈ অহা হৈছে । সাধাৰণ মানুহে ঈশ্বৰ বিষয়ক জ্ঞান আহৰণ কৰাৰ বাবে শ্ৰৱণ সৰ্বোত্তম উপায় বুলি কোৱা হৈছে। ঈশ্বৰৰ সৈতে আমাৰ মনৰ সংযোগ ৰক্ষা কৰাৰ বাবে আন এটা উপায় হৈছে কীৰ্ত্তন। কীৰ্ত্তনৰ মাধ্যমত মানুহে আহৰণ কৰা ঈশ্বৰ বিষয়্ক জ্ঞান, ঈশ্বৰ সম্পৰ্কে মানুহৰ অনুভৱ, ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰত জনোৱা প্ৰাৰ্থনা ইত্যাদি প্ৰকাশ কৰা হয়। হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে যে  নাম ,প্ৰসঙ্গ ,পাঠ আৰু স্তুতি এই চাৰি প্ৰকাৰে কীৰ্ত্তন কৰা হয় ।  কৃষ্ণনামৰ মৌন জপ , কৃষ্ণনামৰ সশব্দ উচ্চাৰণ, ভগৱান কৃষ্ণৰ মানৱীয় আৰু অতিমানৱীয় কাৰ্যপলাপ সম্পৰ্কে  আলাপ-আলোচনা, ভাগৱত, ভগৱ্দ্গীতা আৰু অন্যান্য বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰ আনে শুনাকৈ কৰা পাঠ , ভগৱানৰ গুণমহিমা বৰ্ণনা কৰি গোৱা গীত , স্তোত্ৰ-মন্ত্ৰ ইত্যাদিৰ আবৃত্তি , ভগৱানৰ ওচৰত নিবেদন কৰা প্ৰাৰ্থনা ইত্যাদি কীৰ্ত্তনৰ ওপৰোক্ত চাৰিটা ভাগৰ ভিতৰত পৰে । হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে কৃষ্ণনাম মনে মনে জপ কৰাটো সকলো প্ৰকাৰৰ কীৰ্ত্তনৰ ভিতৰতে শ্ৰেষ্ঠ ।গীতাতো জপ অতি উচ্চ স্তৰৰ যজ্ঞ বুলি কোৱা হৈছে। জগতত অগণন সংখ্যক নাম আছে । প্ৰত্যেক নামৰে একোটা অৰ্থ আছে আৰু সেই অৰ্থৰ সৈতে মিল থকা একো একোটা বস্তুও আছে । উদাহৰণ স্বৰূপে হাতী এটা নাম আৰু হাতী নামৰ অৰ্থ আমি যি বুজো তাৰ লগত মিল থকা এটা বিশেষ জন্তুও আছে। একেদৰে কৃষ্ণ হৈছে এটা নাম যি নামৰ দ্বাৰা পৰমেশ্বৰ , পৰমাত্মা বা পৰম সত্যক বুজোৱা হয় । পৰমেশ্বৰতকৈ শ্ৰেষ্ঠ বা পৰমেশ্বৰৰ সমান দ্বিতীয় একো নাই । সেই কাৰণে কৃষ্ণ নামে যি বস্তুক বুজায়  তাতকৈ শ্ৰেষ্ঠতৰ বা তাৰ সমান বস্তুক বুজাব পৰা অন্য একো নামো নাই ।এই দৃষ্টিকোণৰ পৰা বিচাৰ কৰি হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে যে কৃষ্ণনাম নামৰ বিভূতি অৰ্থাৎ জগতত যিমান নাম আছে তাৰ ভিতৰত কৃষ্ণনাম সৰ্বশ্ৰেষ্ঠ। ভগৱদ্গীতাত ভগৱানৰ বিভূতিৰ বিষয়ে বিতংকৈ কোৱা হৈছে । জাগতিক জীৱনতো আমি দেখা পাওঁ যে নামে শক্তি ধাৰণ কৰে । উদাহৰণ স্বৰূপে আমি বিভিন্ন কামত চৰকাৰী কাৰ্যালয়লৈ যাওঁ ।যদি কোনো শক্তিশালী ব্যক্তিৰ  চুপাৰিশ লৈ যোৱা হয় তেন্তে কামটো সোনকালে হৈ উঠে । এই চুপাৰিশৰ জৰিয়তে শক্তিশালী ব্যক্তিৰ নিজৰ নাম বা তেওঁৰ পদবীৰ নামত অন্তৰ্নিহিত হৈ থকা শক্তিৰ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয় । ব্যক্তি বা পদবী বেছি শক্তিশালী হ’লে তাৰ সৈতে সংযুক্ত নামতো বেছি শক্তি থাকে । এনেদৰে বিচাৰ কৰি চালে দেখা যায় যে যিহেতু ভগৱান কৃষ্ণ সৰ্বশক্তিমান সেই কাৰণে কৃষ্ণনামৰ শক্তিও অপৰিসীম ।  জপৰ জৰিয়তে কৃষ্ণনাম কীৰ্ত্তন  কৰিলে জপকৰ্ত্তাক সৰ্বশক্তিমান ভগৱান কৃষ্ণই সকলো দিশৰ পৰা সুৰক্ষা প্ৰদান কৰে  বুলি হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে । (আগলৈ)
