When we remain in the waking state and feel hungry, we eat normal food available with us to get rid of hunger. But when we remain in the dream state and feel hungry, we have to eat dream food available in the dream world for the same purpose. Though the waking world and dream world are totally different, the pain of hunger and the satisfaction felt after eating of food  are equal in both the worlds . After waking up from sleep we can realize that everything encountered in the dream world is false. Guru Harideva says that  the case with the world where we live in is similar as above . That is , we live in this world with pain and pleasure  as described in the above analogy . This world is as like as dream world. The world that appears to be real in our mind is false in actuality and we can realize this truth after entering into the spiritual world. Now, the knowledge as above belongs to this world or we can say that this knowledge is as like as dream food available n the dream world. We can earn this knowledge from the Vedic Scriptures available in this world. Also , by living a life in accordance with the knowledge and instructions contained in those Vedic Scriptures we can enter into the spiritual world. But for this purpose, correct understanding of those knowledge and instruction is essential. Along with that the way of practical application of the knowledge and instruction contained in the Vedic Scriptures is to be known. Here, the necessity of a competent spiritual master or Guru arises . Guru Harideva  says that the Guru or Spiritual  Master  should be free from attachment with senses . He should have full control over his mind, ego and other mental wanderings .His birth should be in a spiritually uplifted family. He should be well-dressed, that is, he should follow the dress code suitable  for his purpose. The guru must have good reputation. He should be pure in thoughts and actions , modest ,  noble and ideal in behavior. For proper understanding of all matters related to his duties and performance of his duties with expertise a spiritual Guru must  have sufficient intelligence (to be continued)

জাগৰিত হৈ থকা অৱস্থাত আমাৰ যেতিয়া ভোক লাগে তেতিয়া আমি আমাৰ পচণ্ড অনুসৰি নিৰ্বাচিত খাদ্য খাওঁ ।কিন্তু  সপোন দেখি অৱস্থাত ভোক লাগিলে সপোন জগতত উপলব্ধ স্বপ্নখাদ্য খাই ভোক নিবাৰণ কৰা হয় । বাস্তৱ জগত আৰু স্বপ্নজগত দুখন সম্পূৰ্ণ পৃথক জগত । কিন্তু  ভোকৰ যন্ত্ৰণা আৰু খাদ্য খাই পোৱা তৃপ্তি দুয়োখন জগততে একে ।টোপনিৰ পৰা সাৰ পোৱাৰ পিছত আমি বুজিব পাৰোঁ যে সপোনৰ জগতত সন্মুখীন হোৱা একোৱে সত্য নহয় । হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে যে আমি বাস কৰি থকা জগতখনৰ ক্ষেত্ৰতো এই কথা সত্য । অৰ্থাৎ ওপৰৰ উপমাত উল্লেখ কৰাৰ দৰেই আমি এই জগতৰ দুখ আৰু আনন্দ উপভোগ কৰোঁ । এই খন জগতো ওপৰত উল্লেখ কৰা স্বপ্ন জগতৰ লেখীয়া ।স্বপ্ন জগতৰ অভিজ্ঞতাৰ সৈতে ৰিজাই চালে  জাগ্ৰত অৱস্থাত দেখা  জগত বাস্তৱ আৰু সত্য  বুলি আমাৰ মনত বিশ্বাস হয় যদিও প্ৰকৃতাৰ্থত স্বপ্ন জগতৰ সৈতে ইয়াৰ মৌলিক পাৰ্থক্য নাই। টোপনিৰ পৰা সাৰ পোৱাৰ পিছত স্বপ্ন জগত মিছা বুলি অনুভৱ হোৱাৰ দৰে  পাৰমাৰ্থিক জগতত প্ৰৱেশ কৰিলে জাগ্ৰত অৱস্থাত বাস্তৱ বুলি ভৱা জগতখনো  মিছা বুলি অনুভৱ কৰিব পাৰি। এতিয়া কথা হৈছে ওপৰোক্ত পৰ্যায়ৰ  জ্ঞান এইখন জগতত উপলব্ধ হোৱা জ্ঞান অথবা আমি ক’ব পাৰোঁ যে এই জ্ঞান স্বপ্ন জগতত উপলব্ধ হোৱা স্বপ্ন-ভোজনৰ নিচিনা । এই খন জগতত উপলব্ধ হোৱা বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰৰ পৰা আমি ওপৰোক্ত প্ৰকাৰৰ  জ্ঞান আহৰণ কৰিব পাৰোঁ । বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰৰ পৰা আহৰণ কৰা জ্ঞান আৰু উপদেশ  যথাযথ ভাৱে অনুসৰণ কৰি এইখন জগতত জীৱন যাপন কৰিলে পাৰমাৰ্থিক জগতত প্ৰৱেশ কৰিব পাৰি । কিন্তু ইয়াৰ বাবে শাস্ত্ৰত লিপিবদ্ধ থকা জ্ঞান আৰু উপদেশ শুদ্ধভাৱে বুজি পোৱা প্ৰয়োজন । লগতে সেই জ্ঞান আৰু উপদেশৰ যথাযথ ব্যৱহাৰিক প্ৰয়োগ সম্পৰ্কেও জানিব লাগে । এইখিনিতে উপযুক্ত পাৰমাৰ্থিক শিক্ষক বা গুৰুৰ প্ৰয়োজনীয়তা আহি পৰে । তেনে গুৰুৰ অৰ্হতা বিচাৰ কৰি হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে যে পাৰমাৰ্থিক গুৰু ইন্দ্ৰিয় আসক্তিৰ পৰা মুক্ত হ’ব লাগে ।নিজৰ মন  আৰু অহংকাৰ নিয়ন্ত্ৰণত ৰাখি মনক অস্থিৰতাৰ পৰা মুক্ত ৰখাৰ ক্ষমতা গুৰুৰ থাকিব লাগে । গুৰু শুদ্ধ বেশ-ভূষণ যুক্ত হ’ব লাগে অৰ্থাৎ গুৰুৰ পিন্ধন-উৰণ  নিজৰ কৰ্মৰ সৈতে সংগতিপূৰ্ণ হ’ব লাগে । সুখ্যাতি সম্পন্ন  , শুদ্ধ ভাৱনা সম্পন্ন আৰু  শুভ কৰ্মত ৰত থকা ব্যক্তিহে গুৰু হোৱাৰ বাবে উপযুক্ত । গুৰুৰ আচাৰ -ব্যৱহাৰ মহৎ আৰু আনৰ বাবে আদৰ্শ স্বৰূপ হোৱা উচিত ।নিজৰ কৰ্ত্তব্য ভালকৈ বুজি লৈ তাক সুচাৰূ ভাৱে পালন কৰাৰ বাবে গুৰু অত্যন্ত বুদ্ধিমান হোৱা উচিত। (আগলৈ)
