There are so many things in this abode, that is, in the abode where we live. By proper enquiry we can know their location, their distance from us and many other things about them. With due efforts we can see, feel and possess some of them . Also, there exists some distance between two places within this abode. With some efforts we can travel that distance and go from one place to another. But when we tell that there is another abode called heaven we can not directly show the heaven. We can not ascertain the distance between this abode and the heaven. The reason of this is that the heaven and the abode where we live are two separate abodes.  The means that we use for going from one place to another within this abode can not be used for going from this abode to heavenly abode.  In the scripture there are descriptions of the heaven. The means of going to heavenly abode are also described there. It is believed that by following those instructions one can go to  heaven.  Thus, it can be understood that there is distance between two places within this abode as well as between this abode and the heaven. It can also be understood that there is difference between these two types of distances and  the ways of overcoming those distances also differ . Analysing the things as above Guru Harideva tells that it is meaningful to say that there are places in this abode away from the place where we live. It is also meaningful to say that there is heavenly abode   away from the abode where we live. But with the same meaning of the words we can not tell that there is God. This is because,  we can go from one place to another within this abode  by travelling the distances between them. Similarly there are means for going from this abode to the heaven. But reaching God is not like going from one place to another within this abode. Also,  it is not like going from this abode to the heaven. God is omnipresent and hence  no distance exists between God and us. So, the question of overcoming any distance for the purpose of reaching God does not arise. That is, it is not possible to reach God by performance of any work that we perform in this abode for various purposes or by means of worship, sacrifices etc that we perform to reach heavenly abode.  (to be continued)

 ইহলোক অৰ্থাৎ আমি বাস কৰি থকা লোকত অনেক বস্তু আছে । অনুসন্ধান কৰি সেই বস্তুসমুহ  কি অৱস্থাত আছে, আমাৰ পৰা কিমান দূৰত আছে ইত্যাদি কথা  জানিব পাৰি । প্ৰচেষ্টাৰ জৰিয়তে তেনে কিছুমান বস্তু চাব পাৰি, অনুভৱ কৰিব পাৰি আৰু  নিজৰ অধিকাৰলৈ আনিব পাৰি । তদুপৰি  ইহজগতৰ অন্তৰ্গত দুখন ঠাইৰ মাজত দূৰত থাকে। কিবা উপায়েৰে সেই দূৰত্ব অতিক্ৰম কৰি এখন ঠাইৰ পৰা অন্য এখন ঠাইলৈ যাব পাৰি। কিন্তু  যেতিয়া স্বৰ্গ আছে বুলি কোৱা হয় তেতিয়া সেইখন স্বৰ্গলোক বুলি দেখুৱাই  দিব নোৱাৰি বা স্বৰ্গলোক আমাৰ পৰা কোন দিশে কিমান দূৰত আছে ইত্যাদি কথা ক’ব নোৱাৰি । ইয়াৰ কাৰণ স্বৰ্গলোক আমি যি লোকত বাস কৰি আছো সেই লোকৰ পৰা দূৰত অৱস্থিত অন্য এক পৃথক লোক ।ইহলোকৰ দুখন স্থানৰ মাজৰ দূৰত্ব অতিক্ৰম কৰাৰ বাবে যি উপায় অবলম্বন কৰা হয় সেই একে উপায়েৰে ইহলোক আৰু স্বৰ্গলোকৰ দূৰত্ব অতিক্ৰম কৰিব নোৱাৰি । শাস্ত্ৰত স্বৰ্গলোকৰ বৰ্ণনা আছে সেই লোকলৈ যোৱাৰ বাবে কি কৰিব লাগে ইত্যাদি কথা কোৱা হৈছে  । সেইমতে কৰ্ম কৰি স্বৰ্গলৈ যাব পাৰি বুলি ধৰি লোৱা হয় । এনেদৰে বিচাৰ কৰি চালে দেখা যায় যে যিদৰে  ইহলোকৰ দুখন ঠাইৰ মাজত দূৰত্ব আছে সেইদৰে  মানুহৰ বাসস্থান ইহলোক আৰু দেৱতাসকলৰ বাসস্থান স্বৰ্গলোকৰ মাজতো দূৰত্ব আছে| কিন্তু  এই দুই প্ৰকাৰৰ  দূৰত্ব একে পৰ্যায়ৰ নহয় আৰু উভয় প্ৰকাৰৰ দূৰত্ব অতিক্ৰম কৰাৰ উপায়ো পৃথক পৃথক। কথাবিলাক ওপৰোক্ত প্ৰকাৰে বিচাৰ-বিশ্লেষণ কৰি   হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই কৈছে যে আমি বাস কৰি থকা ঠাইৰ পৰা এটা নিৰ্দিষ্ট দূৰত্বত অন্য এখন চহৰ আছে বুলি কোৱাৰ অৰ্থ আছে । অথবা ইহলোকৰ উৰ্দ্ধত স্বৰ্গলোক নামৰ অন্য এক লোক আছে বুলি কোৱাৰো অৰ্থ আছে । কিন্তু এনে প্ৰকাৰৰ কথাৰ আক্ষৰিক অৰ্থ আৰু ঈশ্বৰ আছে বুলি কোৱাৰ অৰ্থ একে নহয়।  দূৰত্ব অতিক্ৰম কৰি আমি এখন ঠাইৰ পৰা অন্য এখন ঠাইলৈ যাব পাৰো ।  একেদৰে ইহলোকৰ পৰা স্বৰ্গলোকলৈও যোৱাৰো উপায় আছে।  কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰলৈ যোৱাটো  এখন ঠাইৰ পৰা অন্য ঠাইলৈ যোৱা বা ইহলোকৰ পৰা স্বৰ্গলোকলৈ যোৱাৰ দৰে কথা নহয়। ইয়াৰ কাৰণ ঈশ্বৰ সৰ্বব্যপ্ত । ঈশ্বৰ আৰু আমাৰ মাজত কোনো দূৰত্ব নাই ।  ঈশ্বৰক লগ পাবৰ কাৰণে ওপৰত কোৱাৰ দৰে কোনো প্ৰকাৰৰ দূৰত্ব অতিক্ৰম কৰাৰ প্ৰশ্ন নাথাকে।সেই কাৰণে ইহলোকৰ কোনো বয়-বস্তু ভোগ কৰাৰ উপায় হিচাপে যিবিলাক কৰ্ম কৰা হয় অথবা স্বৰ্গলোক প্ৰাপ্তিৰ উপায় হিচাপে যাগ-যজ্ঞ আদিকে ধৰি যিবিলাক কৰ্ম কৰা হয় সেই একে উপায়েৰে ঈশ্বৰপ্ৰাপ্তি সম্ভৱ নহয়।(আগলৈ)
