Religious Teachings of the “Satra” Institution of Guru Harideva-189 (হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাৰ সত্ৰানুষ্ঠানৰ ধৰ্মীয় শিক্ষা-১৮৯)

 

Guru Harideva was great scholar of the Vedas, Vedic Philosophy and other Vedic Scriptures. In  the preceding posts some preliminary discussion regarding  painful and pathetic position of women in the mediaeval  society  has been made . In comparison to that the better position of women in the family of Guru Harideva and in his Satra Institution has also been mentioned. Now, to make this point more clear we should try to have some ideas regarding the position of women in the Vedic and post Vedic periods , Epic period and periods of Dharmasastra and Purana .By that way we will be able to know how the exalted position of women went on deteriorating gradually from Vedic age to  mediaeval age . Also, that will make us able to appreciate the great efforts initiated by Guru Harideva in the mediaeval age itself to recover the lost exalted position of the women population.  Now what Vedic age means ? The preliminary study shows that the  Indian religious and cultural tradition begins with the Vedas . Again the Vedas originate from God Almighty prior to initiation of the creation.  In the Vedic Scriptures it is said that the Vedas  were revealed to creator  Brahma by God Almighty. Then Lord Brahma created the world strictly  in  accordance with the knowledge contained in the Vedas. Afterward  those Vedas were acquired by the Vedic Rishis of different times  during their deep meditation. Then they revealed Vedas to public through   disciples ,  followers and scriptures . In this way the flow of Vedic knowledge is still flowing throughout the creation of God Almighty . It is also said that the creation, maintenance and annihilation activities pertaining to the created world are still being continued in accordance with the rules and regulations contained in the Vedas. Now, with passage of time people gradually became unable to understand the message originally contained in the Vedas. Then the Vedic scholars or Rishis of different times started conveying the message originally contained in the Vedas through Epics , Dharma Sastras and Purans . Accordingly the period during which people were able to understand the Vedas and Vedic injunctions is termed as Vedic and post Vedic Period. হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনা বেদজ্ঞ , দৰ্শনজ্ঞ পণ্ডিত  আৰু সমগ্ৰ  বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰৰ  তত্বজ্ঞান সম্পন্ন  মহাপুৰুষ। ইয়াৰ আগৰ লিখনিত মধ্য কালীন সমাজ ব্যৱস্থাত নাৰীৰ দুৰৱস্থা আৰু সেই তুলনাত  হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাৰ নিজ গৃহ আৰু তেওঁ স্থাপন কৰা সত্ৰত মহিলাৰ উচ্চতৰ স্থান সম্পৰ্কে কিছু কথা কৈ অহা হৈছে । এই সম্পৰ্কত শুদ্ধ ধাৰণা ল’বলৈ হ’লে আমি বৈদিক কাল,  মহাকাব্যৰ কাল , ধৰ্মশাস্ত্ৰৰ কাল আৰু পৌৰাণিক কালৰ সমাজত নাৰীৰ স্থান  সম্পৰ্কে কিছু কথা জানি লোৱা ভাল । তেতিয়াহে  বৈদিক কালৰ পৰা  মধ্য কাল পৰ্যন্ত সমাজত নাৰীৰ অতি উচ্চ মৰ্যাদা কিদৰে ক্ৰমান্বয়ে হ্ৰাস হৈ অহিছিল তাক বুজিব পাৰি । লগতে হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই মধ্য কালৰ নানান বাধা বিপত্তিৰ মাজতো নাৰীৰ হৃত মৰ্যাদা ঘুৰাই অনাৰ বাবে কৰা সুমহান প্ৰয়াস সম্পৰ্কেও ধাৰণা কৰা সহজ হয় । এতিয়া কথা হৈছে বৈদিক যুগ মানে কি ? সাধাৰণ দৃষ্টিত চালে দেখা যায় যে ভাৰতৰ ধৰ্মীয়   সাংস্কৃতিক আৰু সামাজিক ইত্যাদি পৰম্পৰাসমূহ মূলতঃ বেদৰ ওপৰত আধাৰিত । আনহাতে বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰত কোৱা হৈছে বেদ ঈশ্বৰৰ জ্ঞান ভাণ্ডাৰ । বেদ  সৃষ্টিৰ পূৰ্বৰে পৰা আছে ।কোৱা হৈছে যে  সৃষ্টিৰ পূৰ্বে ঈশ্বৰে সৃষ্টিকৰ্ত্তা ব্ৰহ্মাক বেদজ্ঞান প্ৰদান কৰিছিল । ব্ৰহ্মাই বেদৰ জ্ঞান আৰু নিৰ্দেশ যথাযথ ভাৱে প্ৰয়োগ কৰি জগত সৃষ্টি কৰিছিল । পৰবৰ্ত্তী কালত জগতৰ বিভিন্ন স্থানৰ বিভিন্ন কালৰ সাধনা সিদ্ধ ঋষি মুনি সকলে ধ্যানমগ্ন অৱস্থাত এই মূল বেদজ্ঞান আহৰণ কৰি  নিজৰ শিষ্য – প্ৰশিষ্য আৰু শাস্ত্ৰৰ জৰিয়তে জগতত প্ৰচাৰ কৰিছিল । এনেদৰে সৃষ্টিৰ পাতনিৰে পৰা এতিয়ালৈকে বেদৰ জ্ঞান প্ৰবাহ জগতত অবিৰতভাৱে প্ৰবাহিত হৈ আহিছে আৰু  জগতৰ সৃষ্টি , প্ৰতিপালন আৰু  বিনাশ কাৰ্য  বেদৰ ব্যৱস্থা আৰু নীতি নিৰ্দেশনা অনুসৰিয়ে চলি আছে । এতিয়া কথা হৈছে কাল অতিবাহিত হৈ থকাৰ সমান্তৰালভাৱে এটা সময়ত মানুহে বেদত অন্তৰ্নিহিত মূল ভাৱ আৰু ভাষা বুজি নোপোৱা হৈ আহিল। এই সমস্যা সমাধানৰ বাবে বিভিন্ন কালৰ বেদজ্ঞ ঋষি মুনি সকলে মহাকাব্য , ধৰ্মশাস্ত্ৰ, পুৰাণ ইত্যাদি বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰ প্ৰণয়ন কৰিলে। সেইবোৰৰ মাধ্যমত বিভিন্ন কালৰ লোকে বুজি পোৱা ভাৱ আৰু ভাষাত বেদবাণী প্ৰচাৰ কৰাৰ ব্যৱস্থা কৰিলে । সেই ক্ৰম অনুসৰি চালে দেখা যায় যে এটা সময় কালৰ ভিতৰত  মানুহে মূল বেদৰ  ভাৱ আৰু ভাষা বুজি পোৱা অৱস্থাত আছিল । সেই কালছোৱাকে বৈদিক যুগ বুলি কোৱা হয় । এই কালছোৱাত মানুহে পোনপটীয়াকৈ মূল বেদৰ জ্ঞান আৰু নিৰ্দেশ  অনুসৰি জীৱন যাপন কৰিছিল ।  ( আগলৈ )
