After coming into contact of common people at his age of 16, Guru Harideva realized that without providing proper education to them it is not possible to improve the  status of women in familial and social sphere . So, he  tried to teach common people the scriptural lessons regarding ideal food habit,  necessity of personal and social cleanliness etc. for healthy life at the initial stage. Then he tried to teach them everything important for living an ideal personal, familial, social and spiritual life. With passage of time, more and more people started gathering to listen him. More and more people became interested to learn the lessons imparted by  him. Proportionately  more and more people started to follow his suggestions and live their day to day life in accordance with his teachings.  But at this stage one particular class of people in the society became dissatisfied. They did not want to let him continue this type of reformative social movement for upliftment of common ignorant people. People from ruling class along with some other influential people in the society sensed problems here. They made conspiracy and ultimately Guru Harideva became bound to flee from his birth place Narayanpur , in Lakhimpur District of Assam,  to save his life . We discussed these things elaborately in some of our earlier posts. Here we just mention some of those points in connection with our discussion on the status granted to women by Guru Harideva in his Satra institution. In this context we should keep in mind that  status equal to man was granted to common women by Guru Harideva  at a time when women were treated  as lower category creature and were forced to live distressful life in their own family as well as in the society.  Here we should also mention that the idea of giving equal status and opportunity to both man and women in each and every field of life came to the mind of Guru Harideva when he was 16 years old as described above. At that time itself he realized the fact that  keeping away of the women from participating in  social, educational , economic  and religious reform programs  is extremely  harmful for the family and the human society as a whole . ১৬ বছৰ বয়সত সাধাৰণ মানুহৰ সংস্পৰ্শলৈ অহাৰ পিছত হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই বুজিব পাৰিছিল যে এই সকল লোকক উপযুক্ত শিক্ষাৰে শিক্ষিত নকৰালৈকে পাৰিবাৰিক আৰু সামাজিক ক্ষেত্ৰত মহিলাক সুৰক্ষিত আৰু  সন্মানজনক স্থানত প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰা সম্ভৱ নহয় । সেয়েহে প্ৰাথমিক অৱস্থাত তেওঁ সাধাৰণ জনতাক উপযুক্ত খাদ্যাখাদ্য , ব্যক্তিগত আৰু সামাজিক পৰিষ্কাৰ পৰিচ্ছন্নতা ইত্যাদি সম্পৰ্কীয় শাস্ত্ৰ সন্মত জ্ঞান প্ৰদান কৰি সুস্থ-সবল আৰু স্বাস্থ্যৱান জীৱন যাপন কৰাৰ বাবে আগ্ৰহী কৰাৰ  প্ৰচেষ্টা আৰম্ভ কৰিছিল। তাৰ পিছত তেওঁলোকক আদৰ্শ ব্যক্তিগত ,পাৰিবাৰিক, সামাজিক আৰু আধ্যাত্মিক জীৱন যাপন কৰাৰ বাবে প্ৰয়োজনীয় সকলো দিশৰ শিক্ষাৰে শিক্ষিত কৰাৰ প্ৰচেষ্টা কৰিছিল । সময় যোৱাৰ লগে লগে তেওঁৰ কথা শুনাৰ বাবে সৰহ সংখ্যক লোক সমবেত হ’বলৈ ধৰিছিল । ক্ৰমান্বয়ে গুৰুজনাৰ কথা শুনিবলৈ আগ্ৰহী হোৱা লোকৰ সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি হৈছিল । সেই অনুপাতে গুৰুজনাই শিকাই দিয়া নীতি-নিয়ম  অনুসৰি জীৱন যাপন কৰা লোকৰ সংখ্যাও বাঢ়ি আহিছিল । কিন্তু ইয়াৰ বিপৰীতে গুৰুজনাই আৰম্ভ কৰা এনে সমাজ সংস্কাৰমূলক   কাৰ্যত সমাজৰ অন্য এক শ্ৰেণীৰ লোক অসন্তুষ্ট হৈছিল । শাসক শ্ৰেণীৰ লগতে সমাজৰ এচাম প্ৰভাৱশালী লোকে কিশোৰ হৰিদেৱৰ এনে কাৰ্যই তেওঁলোকৰ স্বাৰ্থ বিঘ্নিত  কৰিব  পাৰে বুলি আশংকিত হৈছিল । অৱশেষত এই চাম লোকৰ ষড়যন্ত্ৰৰ বলি হৈ ১৭ বছৰ বয়সত হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই নিজৰ জীৱন ৰক্ষাৰ স্বাৰ্থত জন্মস্থান নাৰায়ণপুৰৰ পৰা পলাই আহিবলৈ বাধ্য হৈছিল ।আগৰ কিছুমান লিখনিত এইবিলাক কথা বিশদভাৱে কৈ অহা হৈছে । ইয়াত কেৱল গুৰুজনাই সত্ৰত মহিলাক সন্মানজনক স্থান দিয়া বিষয়টো ব্যাখ্যা কৰাৰ বাবে প্ৰয়োজনীয় প্ৰাসঙ্গিক কথা খিনিহে  উল্লেখ কৰা হৈছে । ইয়াতে মন কৰা উচিত যে যি মধ্যযুগীয় সমাজত মহিলাক নিম্ন স্তৰৰ প্ৰাণী হিচাপে গণ্য কৰি পাৰিবাৰিক আৰু সামাজিক উভয় স্তৰত দমন কৰি ৰখা হৈছিল তেনে কালত হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই নিজে প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰা সত্ৰত পুৰুষ আৰু মহিলা উভয়কে সম মৰ্যাদা প্ৰদান কৰিছিল । ইয়াতে উল্লেখ কৰা উচিত যে ১৬ বছৰ বয়সত নাৰায়ণ পুৰত থকা কালতে পুৰুষ আৰু মহিলাক সম মৰ্যাদা দিয়াৰ কথা গুৰুজনাৰ মনলৈ আহিছিল । তেতিয়াই তেওঁ  উপলব্ধি কৰিছিল যে  ধৰ্মীয় , শিক্ষা মূলক, অৰ্থনৈতিক  আৰু সমাজ সংস্কাৰমূলক  কাৰ্যসূচীৰ পৰা মহিলা সকলক বাহিৰত ৰাখিলে পৰিয়াল আৰু সমাজৰ অপূৰণীয় ক্ষতি হয় । সেয়েহে তেওঁ স্থাপন কৰা সত্ৰানুষ্ঠানৰ ধৰ্মীয় , সামাজিক ইত্যাদি সকলো প্ৰকাৰৰ কাৰ্যসূচীত  মহিলাক পুৰুষৰ সমানে অধিকাৰ আৰু মৰ্যাদা প্ৰদান কৰি গৈছে । ( আগলৈ )
