We know that the Sun is very powerful . In fact the world cannot exist without getting energy from the Sun. But the sun has no power to create another Sun. On the other hand God can create any number of Sun in his creation . Citing such analogy the Scriptures say that a Guru is not lesser than God in this respect. This is because Guru can create another Guru by imparting training to his disciple. But for that purpose a Guru should be very much careful in selecting his disciple. In the Vedic Scriptures there are standing instructions for a Guru in this regard. There it is suggested that only on mere request a Guru should not open his spiritual treasure to anyone who comes to him with the intention of becoming his disciple . Prior to accepting a person as disciple, the Guru should examine him for at least for one year. During this period the Guru should be in close association with that person and carefully observe his qualities and character to judge his ability and fitness. Similarly, the concerned person should also try to know the Guru by staying along with the Guru and rendering service to him . The Guru should impart all kinds of essential training during this period . It is said in the scriptures that there are four classes of people in human society . Out of them people from intellectual class , ruling class , business class and serviceman class having all good qualities are expected to be qualified within one , two ,three and four years respectively after obtaining training from the Guru . After imparting training as stated above , the Guru should accept as disciple and enlighten such qualified disciples with spiritual knowledges. A disciple not qualified for acceptance as a disciple even after the periods prescribed for the training should be further trained up till he is fully qualified for the grace of the Guru. Guru Harideva used to act in accordance with those instructions contained in the scriptures prior to acceptance of a person as his disciple as far as practicable . ( to be continued)

কিন্তু ইমান শক্তিশালী সূৰ্যই নিজৰ দৰে অন্য এটা সূৰ্য সৃষ্টি কৰিব নোৱাৰে। আনহাতে ঈশ্বৰে নিজৰ সৃষ্টিত এটা
সূৰ্যৰ নিচিনা অনেক সূৰ্য সৃষ্টি কৰিব পাৰে । এই উপমা দি শাস্ত্ৰত কোৱা
হৈছে যে এই বিষয়ত গুৰু আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ পাৰ্থক্য নাই । ইয়াৰ কাৰণ হৈছে শিষ্যক প্ৰশিক্ষণ
প্ৰদান কৰি নিজৰ দৰে অন্য এজন গুৰু সৃষ্টি কৰাৰ শক্তি গুৰুৰ আছে ।
কিন্তু ইয়াৰ বাবে শিষ্য নিৰ্বাচন কৰাৰ
বেলিকা গুৰু অত্যন্ত সাৱধান হোৱা উচিত। এই সম্পৰ্কে বৈদিক শাস্ত্ৰত গুৰুৰ বাবে কিছুমান
প্ৰয়োজনীয় উপদেশ প্ৰদান কৰা হৈছে । ইয়াত কোৱা হৈছে যে শিষ্যত্ব
বিচাৰি কাষ চপা লোকৰ পৰা অনুৰোধ পোৱাৰ লগে
লগে যিকোনো ব্যক্তিৰ ওচৰত গুৰুৱে নিজৰ মহামূল্যৱান
পাৰমাৰ্থিক জ্ঞান ভাণ্ডাৰ উন্মুক্ত কৰা
উচিত নহয় ।কোনো ব্যক্তিক শিষ্য হিচাপে গ্ৰহণ কৰাৰ পূৰ্বতে কমেও এবছৰ কাল পৰীক্ষা-নিৰীক্ষা
কৰি চোৱাটো গুৰুৰ কৰ্ত্তব্য । এই সময়ছোৱাত শিষ্যত্ব প্ৰাৰ্থী ব্যক্তিক নিজৰ নিকট
সান্নিধ্যত ৰাখি ,কথা-বতৰা স্বভাৱ-চৰিত্ৰ আদি নিৰীক্ষণৰ দ্বাৰা ব্যক্তিজনৰ
যোগ্যতা আৰু শক্তি-সামৰ্থ্য নিৰূপণ কৰাটো
গুৰুৰ কৰ্ত্তব্য । একেদৰে সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিজনেও আশ্ৰমত গুৰুৰ সৈতে একেলগে থাকি
সেৱা-শুশ্ৰুষাৰ জৰিয়তে গুৰুৰ বিষয়ে সকলো কথা জানি-বুজি ল’ব লাগে। এই কালছোৱাত সকলো প্ৰকাৰৰ প্ৰয়োজনীয় প্ৰশিক্ষণ ব্যক্তিজনক প্ৰদান
কৰা গুৰুৰ কৰ্ত্তব্য । শাস্ত্ৰত কোৱা হৈছে যে মানৱ সমাজত চাৰি শ্ৰেণীৰ ব্যক্তি
থাকে । ইয়াৰ ভিতৰত বুদ্ধিজীৱি শ্ৰেণী , শাসক শ্ৰেণী , ব্যৱসায়ী শ্ৰেণী আৰু
শ্ৰমজীৱি শ্ৰেণীৰ
অন্তৰ্গত ব্যক্তিয়ে যথাক্ৰমে এবছৰ ,দুবছৰ , তিনি বছৰ
আৰু চাৰিবছৰ কাল প্ৰশিক্ষণ লোৱাৰ পিছত শিষ্য হোৱাৰ যোগ্যতা অৰ্জন কৰে বুলি ধৰা হয় । প্ৰশিক্ষণৰ অন্তত গুৰুৱে যোগ্যতা অৰ্জন কৰা ব্যক্তিক শিষ্য হিচাপে
গ্ৰহণ কৰি পাৰমাৰ্থিক তত্বজ্ঞান দিয়া উচিত । প্ৰশিক্ষণ কালৰ অন্ততো যোগ্যতা অৰ্জন
কৰিব নোৱাৰা ব্যক্তিক ধৈৰ্য সহকাৰে পুনৰ
প্ৰশিক্ষণ দি গুৰুৰ অনুগ্ৰহ লাভ কৰাৰ বাবে যোগ্যতা সম্পন্ন কৰি তোলাটো গুৰুৰ
কৰ্ত্তব্য । হৰিদেৱ গুৰুজনাই বৈদিক
শাস্ত্ৰত উল্লেখ ওপৰোক্ত সমস্ত নীতি-নিয়ম যথাসম্ভৱ মানি তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ অহা ব্যক্তিক
